A little girl and a young girl, docilely disoriented, wander in a desolate Rome with no more open cinemas, preparing to fulfill a mission: the recovery of a rare vestige, a film containing an invaluable poetic testimony on the magic of Cinema. They are chased by a bizarre Filipino detective, hampered by a femme fatale bewitchment and a scruffy lolita, who awkwardly tries to anticipate the two in the discovery of the coveted film.
