Flavio is an actor who said no to underpaid roles and other people's ambitions. He now has a regular job but for the last time he let himself be carried away by Valerio's latest idea. Together with Camilla, on the first day of filming Flavio will find himself in a completely different place than he expected, facing the truth about Valerio's project. Monstre takes place in contemporary Rome, a metropolitan reality like all the others. Valerio finds himself, in his daily routine, completely taken by hallucinations and nightmares. Until he sees supernatural events: he's not sure if he's delirious or if something is really happening. His friends will be dragged into this situation along with him. A dark force made of fear and doubt. Do they have to hunt monsters? Assuming they exist.

Director Biography - Valerio Graglia
Born and raised in Rome, Italy. He works as a freelance journalist (social rights movement, sports, videogaming) and documentaries author. He's one of the founders of UnLess collective. "Monstre" is his first-time opera as a director.

The main narrative alternates between the different points of view of the characters, as well as telling their story. The general picture is made up of anecdotes, memories, group experiences, omens and secrets. The search for the truth becomes the central point for all the characters. The story was crafted with an observational style that reflects the real-time lives of the actors; dragging them into a dramatic and surreal psychological horror. Real identities were used to develop the plot, and biographical elements are sometimes mistaken for fiction.
