Roswell Delirium
In the 1980s, the United States is hit by a wave of nuclear attacks, and those who survive pretend that everything is fine, even as they are all exposed to radiation poisoning. A young girl named Mayday receives an intergalactic distress call from space on her ham radio, sending her on a journey to Spacerock, the land where Area 51 once stood. She is exposed to severe levels of radiation, and within days all of her organs begin to fail. Knowing that medical treatment won't help, her mother, Wendy, takes her back to Spacerock to hand her over to the aliens in the hopes that they can save her.
Roswell Delirium makes bold connections between trauma, memory, history, and redemption, resulting in an original film that evokes nostalgia for a certain type of fantasy cinema that peaked in the 1980s.
