Director's Notes
There are many reasons that inspired me to make this story. First, the influence of modern-day wars inspired me to tell a story like this, while also attempting to convey the humanity of soldiers in the most inhumane place possible, and the innocence of a child facing the dangers of war. Second, I decided to reflect and dwell on what death makes us long for: the desire to stay connected to our loved ones; nothing is stronger than the desire to maintain an emotional bond with those we love.
