Eyes Wide Shut refers to a person, often naive or inexperienced, who refuses to see something in full view due to preconceived notions or taboos. Bill and Alice, a wealthy couple, attend the pre-Christmas party of their friend, the wealthy fixer Victor Ziegler. Bill, a young and handsome doctor, after being approached by two beautiful girls, is called to help a young woman, Amanda, who was overdosed while she was in the company of the landlord, undercover. Alice, meanwhile, rejects the kind advances of a mature and ambiguous Hungarian, Sandor Szavost, worried about her absence of a husband, seen shortly before her in the company of the two girls.
